Bernard Lowell Boozer

Bernard Lowell Boozer, 73, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on January 26, 1942, in Columbia, he was the son of Hattie Shealy Boozer and the late Bernard N. Boozer. He was a 1960 graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and retired as a superintendent from McCrory Construction Company. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his mother, Hattie Boozer of Springfield Place in Newberry; his wife of 50 years, Edna Stoudemire Boozer; sons, John N. Boozer and Matthew L. Boozer both of Prosperity; sisters, Gloria (Kenneth) Bowers and Gail (Toby) Shealy all of Prosperity.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Monday, June 15, 2015 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jason Schafer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Monday in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 4056 St. Luke's Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.
