Betty Dominick

Betty Jean Long Dominick, 82, died Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at her residence.

Born on March 16, 1939, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Edward N. and Frances Shealy Long. She was the 1957 Salutatorian of Pomaria High School and retired after 54 years from Kirk Pontiac and Fritz's Pontiac, Cadillac Buick dealerships and Fritz Waidner as his personal business manager. Mrs. Dominick was a loyal member of Bethany Lutheran Church where she taught the Adult Sunday School Class for over 30 years, a former member of the Church Council, and Financial Secretary for many years. She greatly loved her family.

She is survived by sons, Craig H. (Sandy) Dominick of Newberry and Marc E. Dominick of Greenville; a sister, Joye L. (Earl) Johnson of Newberry; her husband, Harold L. Dominick; grandchildren, Jamie (Alanna) Borden and Garrett Dominick; two step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Bethany Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. Robert McCollum. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 – 10:30 am.
