Betty Dominick

Betty Ann McCarty Dominick, 83, of Prosperity died Friday, April 28, 2017 at her residence.

Born on May 26, 1933, in Newberry,she was a daughter of the late Henry Butler and Ethel Shealy McCarty. She was a former employee of Smith-Kline Beecham Pharmaceuticals and was a volunteer at Newberry County Memorial Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Essie Hawkins Circle and a lifetime member of WELCA.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Wilfred Dominick; sons, Bryan Dominick and his wife Cynthia of Murrells Inlet, and Tim Dominick and his wife Carla of Lexington; a sister, Edna Garnett of Newberry; and a grandson, Russell Bishop. She was predeceased by a sister, Katherine McCarty Clamp.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 30, 2017 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jason Schafer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 4056 St. Luke's Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to Palmetto Health Hospice, PO Box 352, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Russell Bishop, Jim Payne, Mike Dominick, Paul Wicker, Robert Cook II, Randall Jones.
