Betty Farr

Betty Bedenbaugh Farr, 80, of Little Mountain, widow of George B. “Nook” Farr, died March 23, 2011, at White Oak Manor.

Born on July 8, 1930, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Herbert H. “John” and Julia Clary Bedenbaugh. Mrs. Farr was retired from Phillip’s Components and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Farr Sanders of Little Mountain; sisters, Mary Farr and Kay Richardson of Little Mountain and Martha Warren of Prosperity. Mrs. Farr was predeceased by sons, Mike Farr and Mark Farr, a brother, Eddie Bedenbaugh and a son-in-law, Bobby R. Sanders.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Scott Kierstead. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
