Betty S. Halfacre

Betty Stone Halfacre, 90, of Newberry, widow of Harry W. Halfacre, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at J.F. Hawkins Health Care.

Born on July 8, 1934, she was the only child of James Paul Stone and Claudia Kibler Stone. She grew up in Newberry and married Harry W. Halfacre on November 22, 1953. Mrs. Halfacre owned and operated Betty Halfacre’s Catering for many years. She was a member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Joy Fellowship.

She is survived by nieces, Janice (Bob) Graham, Marianne (Chris) Carlisle and Linda Halfacre; great-nephew, Rob Graham; great-nieces, Ann Marie Carlisle and Jennifer (Jonathon) Brunson; great-great nieces, Lauren and Lilly Brunson and cousins.

A private family graveside service will be held in St. Philip's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
