Betty Ruth Morris Stuck, 86, of Newberry, widow of Charles R. Stuck, died Friday, November 8, 2019.
Born on August 24, 1933, in Prosperity she was a daughter of the late Dudley Morgan and Myrtle Estelle Livingston Morris.
She was a former Security Officer at the V.C. Summer Plant and a former Meter Maid with the City of Newberry Police Department. Mrs. Stuck did a lot of electrical and carpentry work. She built cabinets for many family members. She enjoyed canning and making molasses .
She is survived by a daughter, Kay (Ricky) Smith of Pomaria; a son, Danny (Ann) Stuck of Prosperity; brothers, Bobby (Daisy) Morris of Prosperity, and James Earl Morris of Prosperity; grandchildren, William Griffin, Brad Griffin, Steven Perry, Christy Reynolds, Jennifer Burrows, Kayla McClive, Misty Smith, Danielle Stuck, Haley Stuck, Sam Stuck, Ross Wilson, Lacey Frankel, Brandall Bishop, and Chuck Bishop; 21 great-grandchildren; special friends, Artie Holmes, Sebrina Rodriguez, Thomas Rodriguez, Dominick Rodriguez, and Sky Rodriguez. She was predeceased by daughters,Janet Griffin and Tina Bishop; sisters, Clara Ringer, Rosa Lee Kitchen, Mildred Ringer, and Myra “Wessie” Morris; brothers, Harry Morris, D.M. Morris, Billy Morris, Bunk Morris, and Ralph Morris.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bobby Morris. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
