Blondell H. Koon

Vera Blondell Hamm Koon, 91, formerly of Columbia, widow of Donley Ray Koon, died August 24, 2012 at The Heritage at Lowman.

Born on October 21, 1920, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Jeffery Ambrose and Mary Lou Moore Hamm. She attended Newberry College and was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a son, Gregory R. Koon of Chapin; a daughter, Janice Koon Warf and her husband, Jim of Columbia, a sister, Addie Jones of N.C.; a brother, Glenn Hamm of Prosperity; grandchildren, Douglas Koon, Robbie Warf, and Andrew Warf; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private.
