Bonnie Adams Felker Prince, 76, of Whitmire, wife of Charles Thomas “Tommy” Prince, died Monday, January 26, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born on June 13, 1938, in Whitmire, she was a daughter of the late George Adam and Sarah Henrietta Adams Felker. In her youth she was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Pomaria where she was baptized into the family of God on October 2, 1938. She became a confirmed member of St. Matthews on March 18, 1951. She transferred her membership to St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Whitmire on September 18, 1955 and devoted many years of faithful service to the church as Sunday School teacher, church council member, and president of the church council. After graduating from Whitmire High School in 1956, she completed a one year secretarial course at Newberry College. She went to work at Cone Mills in Carlisle on January 2, 1958 and worked there 41 years. The following year she married Tommy on May 22, 1959 in Whitmire.

Mrs. Prince is survived in addition to her husband, Tommy Prince, by a son, Chris Prince of Whitmire; a sister, Alice Welliver of Newberry; brothers, Gary Felker of Newberry and Ray (Joan) Felker of Whitmire. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry Felker.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, January 29, 2015, at St. Timothy Lutheran Church by the Rev. Paul Williams, assisted by Rev. Ray Massey and Rev. Eddie Duncan. Burial will follow in Whitmire Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, PO Box 265, Whitmire, SC 29178 or to the charity of one's choice.

Active pallbearers will be Tony Felker, Robbie Felker, Ronnie Felker, Steve Erskine, Jack Burnett and Matt Swain.
