Bradley P. VanGilder, 50, of Newberry, widower of Carrie A. VanGilder, died Monday, February 16, 2015, at Palmetto Health Richland.
Born on April 9, 1964, in Fairmont, WV, he was a son of JoAnn VanGilder and the late Gerald “Jerry” VanGilder. He was an Army veteran and employed by SCE&G at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant.
Mr. VanGilder is survived by his mother, JoAnn VanGilder; sons, Aaron VanGilder and Tyler VanGilder; a daughter, Amanda VanGilder; sisters, Donna Prahl and Mira Selan; brothers, Scott VanGilder and his twin, David VanGilder; three grandchildren; nephews, Kyle, Jerry, Josh, Jonathan, Matthew and David Weatherford and Mikey Webb; nieces, Cindal (Jonathan) Bautista, Stephanie Weatherford and great-nephew, Sebastian “Bash” Bautista; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Diane Weatherford; sister-in-law, Denise (David) Wilson, brothers-in-law, Jerry (Marie) Weatherford and John Weatherford.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Glenn Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Mike Whitesides. The family will receive friends Friday, February 27, 2015 at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Denise and David Wilson, 38 Maple Lane, Newberry
