Brian Allen Cook

Brian Allen Cook, 46, of Newberry, died Sunday, July 3, 2011.

Born on February 8, 1965, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Virgil W. and Dottye Wicker Cook. He was a 1987 graduate of Newberry College and was an Administrator with Harbison Hall Assisted Living. He was a member of Clayton Memorial Unitarian – Universalist Church and was a former member of the Newberry Jaycees.

He is survived by brothers; Kenneth W. Cook and his wife Beth of Piedmont, Danny W. Cook and his wife Susan, G. Phillip Cook and his wife Pam, and Douglas P. Cook all of Prosperity; nieces and nephews, Julie McKinney, Lisa Wood, Corey Cook, Will Cook, Amanda Lindler, Brad Cook, Heather Rae Cook, and Joshua Cook; and a great- niece and nephew, Morgan Wood and Landen Lindler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Clayton Memorial Unitarian-Universalist Church, 334 Clayton Memorial Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pall bearers will be Corey Cook, Brad Cook, Will Cook, Josh Cook, Tim McKinney, Scott Wood, and Jimmy Lindler.

Honorary pall bearers will be the staff of Harbison Hall Assisted Living.
