Brian MacDonald

Brian MacDonald, 69, of Prosperity, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at his residence.

Brian was born in Massachusetts, son of Edward and Betty MacDonald.  He was educated in the Massachusetts public school system and later went on to receive a degree from University of Akron.

Brian served his country as a petty officer on the Navy and later was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses in Massachusetts.  He was an avid skier, had his personal pilots license and loved to camp with his friends.

Brian and his wife Pauline retired to South Carolina in 1998.  He was an active member of Chapel on the River church and also volunteered at the Prosperity Opera.

Brian leaves his wife, Pauline MacDonald; his son, Brian MacDonald and his wife, Maria; his son, Scott MacDonald and his wife, Carolyn; his son, Shawn MacDonald and his wife, Nicole; his grandchildren John, Noelle, Emily, Aidan, Mary, Sarah and Jason; his brother Edward MacDonald and his wife, Shirely.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Colony Lutheran Church in Newberry.
