Candy Rowe Busby

Candy Rowe Busby, 67, of Newberry, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 19, 1956, in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late James D. “Doc” and Mozelle Rowe.  Mrs. Busby was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry A. Busby; sons, Jerry R. (Michelle) Busby and James A. (Katherine) Busby both of Newberry; daughters, April (Brian) Redd of Newberry and Amanda (Jason) Pepsnik of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; sisters, Louise Hood of Ridgeway, Susan Leitzsey of Pomaria and Darlene Layton of Newberry; brothers, Rudy Rowe of Prosperity, Thomas Rowe of Ridgeway, Paul Rowe of Newberry and Dean Rowe of Prosperity; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Candy was predeceased by sisters, Patsy Lindler, Jean Billiott and Libby Duncan and brother, Earl Rowe.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 14, 2023, at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Paul Rowe.  Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will be at the home of April and Brian Redd, 3735 Jollystreet Road, Prosperity and will also visit at the graveside following the committal service.

Active pallbearers will be Justin Busby, James Busby, Josh Rowe, Jesse Harmon, William Lindler and Ryan Redd.
