Carol Paysinger Fulmer, 63, of Prosperity, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at his residence.

Born on January 25, 1951, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Harold C. and Elizabeth “Bessie” Paysinger Fulmer. He was a graduate of Newberry College and retired from the S.C. Department of Agriculture. He retired with the rank of Major from the S.C. National Guard. Mr. Fulmer was a lifelong member of Colony Lutheran Church where he was a member of the church choir for over 45 years and served on the church council. He was the church financial secretary for many years. He and his twin brother, Harold, operated Twindale Farm and since his retirement he continued to farm and worked part-time for Cousins Agri-Center.

Mr. Fulmer is survived by his wife, Susan Hamm Fulmer; daughters, Alison (David) Clark of Pomaria, Michelle (David) Morris of Little Mountain and Lauren (Philip) Armstrong of Fountain Inn; a sister, Betty (Allen) Hawkins of Lugoff; brothers, Robert C. (Bettye) Fulmer of Newberry, Karl Edward (Georgie Faye) Fulmer of Chapin and Harold M. (Lynne) Fulmer of Newberry; grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin and Caroline Morris, Jacob and Elizabeth Clark and Dorothy Ruth Armstrong; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service in song will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Colony Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jerry Trantham. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the interment in the fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Colony Lutheran Church Choir, 48 Colony Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Sergio Aparicio, Greg Fulmer, Jason Hamm, Kyle Kneece, Christopher Shealy, and Ronnie Shealy.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Colony Church Choir.
