Carolina L. Butler

Carolina L. Butler, 87, of Newberry, widow of Robert D. Butler, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on February 25, 1929, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Arthur J. Livingston, Sr. and Ruby Cook Livingston. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Butler is survived by a son, Jimmy Butler; a daughter, Robbie Butler Padgett; sisters, Judith Hook and Betty Ruff; grandchildren, Brandy Leigh Koontz and Ashley Raye Miller and great-grandchildren, Drey Mitchell and Colin Wingard. She was predeceased by siblings, Edna Shealy, Grace Mayer, Nancy Shealy, Arthur Livingston, Jr., Jimmy Livingston, Terry Livingston and Bobby Livingston.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648.
