Carolyn Minick

Carolyn Allene Kibler Minick, 70, of Newberry, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 3, 1946, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Leland and Allene Schumpert Kibler. Mrs. Minick was retired from the Newberry High School Cafeteria and was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Woodmen of the World and a volunteer at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Moffett Gordon Minick; sons, Kevin Gordon (Eleandor) Minick and Keith Kibler (Katrina) Minick both of Newberry and Michael Kyle (Jennifer) Minick of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Jacob Leland (Betty) Kibler of Newberry; grandchildren, Conrad Minick, Chansel Minick, Chase Minick, Chloe Minick, Cagnee Minick, Brice Minick and Brayden Minick.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 29, 2017, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jason Schafer and Rev. Dr. Robert McCollum. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the SC State Firefighters' Foundation, PO Box 211725, Columbia, SC 29210.

Active pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
