Carrie Kinard

Carrie Metts Kinard, 98, of Prosperity, widow of Wister David Kinard, died Monday, November 29, 2010, at White Oak Manor.

Born on January 7, 1912, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Rude Samuel and Cleora Kinard Metts. She was retired from Whitten Center, was a member of Bachman Chapel and the Golden Agers.

Surviving are her grandsons, David P. Kinard, Jr. of Prosperity and Donnie Kinard of Saluda; four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, David P. Kinard, Sr. and Donald Otto Kinard and her siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church by the Rev. James Shealy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church, 3074 Bachman Chapel Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.
