Cecil Abner Bundrick, Jr., 80, of Pomaria, widower of Ute Nellius Bundrick, died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at National Health Care in Clinton.
Born on March 22, 1938, in Newberry County, he was a son of the late Cecil Abner Bundrick, Sr. and Helen Singley Bundrick. He was a member of Pomaria Lutheran Church. He retired from the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. After his retirement from the Army he worked as a mechanic for Newberry County and at Carold Wickers Garage.
He is survived by a brother, Donnie (Marilyn) Bundrick of Whitmire; a son-in-law, Mitch Ihler; grandchildren, Jase Ihler, Lacey Ihler, Angie Ihler, and Tiffany Ihler; a number of great-grandchildren; a nephew, Ronnie (Lisa) Bundrick of Whitmire; a niece, Tammy (Stephen) Bonds of Clinton; a brother and sister-in-law, Hans and Dagmar Gorich of Germany; and a number of great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Elaine Ihler.
Graveside services with full military honors will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in Pomaria Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. David Seymore. The family is at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Marilyn Bundrick, 125 Cemetery Drive, Whitmire. Memorials may be made to the Pomaria Cemetery Fund.
