Charlene Cook

Charlene Kay Lambert Cook, 62, of Prosperity died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on October 29, 1951, in Ft. Ord, California, she was a daughter of Doyle H. and Opal Lambert.

She is survived by her husband, James L. “Jimmy” Cook; a son, Wendell Edwards and wife Donna of Aiken Jamie Cook and his wife Tonya of Greenville, and Freddie Cook and his wife Hove of Newberry; daughters, Kim Martin and her husband Michael of Katy, TX, and Amber Bensley and her husband Nathan of Prosperity and Mandy Cockrell of Newberry; brothers, Gregory Lambert of Prosperity, and Brad Lambert of Florida; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dean Lollis. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:15 PM.
