Charles Bruce Crowell

Charles Bruce Crowell, 67, of Little Mountain died on Friday, May 8, 2009 at Palmetto Health Heart Hospital.

Born in Asheville, NC on February 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles Bruce and Elizabeth Fliedner Crowell. He was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and Palmer College. He was a retired Accountant with Allied Chemical and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Hawkins Crowell; a son, Steven Bruce Crowell and wife, Betsy of Little Mountain; daughters, Susan Jennifer Crowell and husband, Mark Allen of Greenville, and Laurie Crowell Lewis and husband, Robert of Chapin, a sister; Carolyn Swittenburg and husband, Linwood of Columbia, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Allen, step grandsons, Rob Lewis and Zach Chapman. He was predeceased by a sister Betsy Guice.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, May 11, 2009, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Fred Suhr. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 7:30 PM in the parlor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that those desiring may make memorials to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 186, Little Mountain, 29075 or to the Heritage at Lowman c/o LHSC Foundation, 300 Ministry Drive, Irmo, 29063.
