Charles Mills

Charles Corbett Mills, 68, of Leesville, died Monday, January 16, 2017, at his residence.

Born on May 4, 1948, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Edward Patrick and Rozelle Graham Mills. He was a graduate of Newberry High School and an owner of International Properties LLC. He was a member of Summer Memorial Lutheran Church. Mr. Mills was a man who loved his family as well as his neighbors and many friends.

He is survived by a son, Stanley Charles (Paula) Mills; grandchildren, Patrick Charles Mills (Mackenzie) and Meredith Amanda Mills; a sister-in-law, Shirley Mills; 2 nephews, Douglas (Christy) Mills and Michael (Maggie) Mills; 3 great- nieces, Emily, Katie, and Kathleen Mills; and a great-nephew, Ryan Mills; and dearest friends, Faye Brown, Tracy Shealy, David Hawkins, Nate Melton and Kirk (Debbie) Rupp. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Mills.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 20, 2017, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. William Hightower. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648.
