Charles Daniel Worthy

Charles Daniel Worthy, 42, of Newberry died Thursday February 16, 2023

Daniel was born October 18, 1980, in Chester, SC. He served in the SC Army National Guard, Infantry, after high school and was working for Hilton Cleaning. Daniel was an avid Clemson fan and had a soft heart for all animals.

He is survived by his mother Phyllis Inman Worthy of Whitmire, SC, his wife Brandi Wessinger Worthy of Newberry, SC, daughter Victoria Worthy (Bryson) and son Luther Worthy (Savannah) of Lexington, SC; his adopted sons Troy Allen (Jeany), Wesley Allen (Kennedy), Tyler Allen and Zackary Allen of Newberry, SC; his brother Scott Worthy, sisters Lynn Nelson and Melissa Worthy all of Whitmire, SC; his father Mike Brantley of Chester, SC; special friends Thomas Carroll and David Brotherton. He is predeceased by his adoptive father Vard Worthy of Whitmire, SC.

Daniel’s organs will be donated to We Are Sharing Hope SC so that he can contribute to the lives of others.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, February 20, 2023, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel.
