Charlie Brown

Charles Thomas “Charlie” Brown, 72, of Newberry, died Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his residence.

Born on July 6, 1948 in Newberry, he was a son of the late Albert Willard and Cleo Huffstetler Brown. He was a self employed contractor. He was a member of Summer memorial Lutheran Church and attended Cross Point Church. Charlie loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish. He was an amazing wood worker. He built cabinets, bed room suits and many other pieces of furniture for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Hurst Brown; daughters, Kelly (Josh) Brown Martin of Stamford, TX and Ashley Fain of Prosperity; a brother, Willard Brown of Rock Hill; and grandchildren, Kaitlin Martin, Karigan Martin, and Harper Rowe.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2020 in Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Jeff Odell. Following the service the family will remain by the graveside where they will receive friends. Memorials may be made to Cross Point Church, P.O. Box 1171, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Bill Brown, Wesley Griffin, Robert Martin, Dale Shealy, Charlie Summer, and Dean Dickert.
