Clair Crossland Cannon

Clair Crossland Cannon, 50, of Newberry, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on June 27, 1958 in Newberry, she was a daughter of Y-Genia Hogge Crossland and the late J. D. “Jake” Crossland. Mrs. Cannon was a member of West End Baptist and an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Surviving in addition to her mother of Newberry are her husband, Phillip Cannon; a son, Daniel Max (Nikki) Hutchinson, Jr. of Newberry; sisters, Sally Cockrell, Linda (Ray) Counts and Glenda (Travis) Kinard all of Newberry; grandchildren, Madison, Cole and Brayden Hutchinson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at West End Baptist Church by the Rev. Kevin Carter. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
