Clara Morris Ringer, 87, of Pomaria, widow of Claude Olin Ringer, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at White Oak Manor.
Born on November 28, 1928 in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Dudley Morgan and Myrtle Livingston Morris. She was a graduate of Stoney Hill High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where she was a member of the church choir.
She is survived by daughters, Vickie (Ronnie) Richardson and Cindy (Donnie) Leitzsey both of Pomaria; a sister, Betty Stuck of Newberry; brothers, James Earl Morris and Bobby F. Morris both of Prosperity; grandchildren, Brent Olin Richardson of Charleston, Heather (Mike) Harley of Pomaria, and Trevor Jacob Leitzsey of Casey; and one great-grandson, Michael Jacob Harley. She was predeceased by sisters, Rosa Lee Kitchen, Mildred Ringer, and Myra Morris; brothers, Bunk Morris, D.M. Morris, Harry Morris, Ralph Morris, and Billy Morris.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, February 8, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church by the Rev. Bobby Morris and the Rev. Steve Jackson. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to Faith Lutheran Church , 1505 Wilson Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
The family would like to thank the staff at Newberry County Memorial Hospital and White Oak Manor for their care.
Active pall bearers will be Terry Morris, Wade Morris, Danny Stuck, Jimmy Bonner, Paul Ringer, and Mike Harley.
Honorary pall bearers will be member of the Faith Lutheran Church choir.
