Clarence Edward Wright, 98, of Stone Mountain, GA, widower of Frances Dawkins Wright, died Sunday, August 10, 2014, at his residence.

Born on January 26, 1916, in Montgomery, AL, he was a son of the late John Frank and Emma Pearl Goodson Wright. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Wright was retired from Emory Medical Hospital, was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) for over 60 years and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Wright Farmer of Stone Mountain, GA; grandchildren, Robin Burkes Farmer, Angel R. Farmer Seibring and Christine Farmer-Esterling; great-grandchildren, Emily Frances Seibring, Aaron Fredrick Seibring, Benjamin Own Esterling and Rebecca Mae Esterling; great-nephews, Scott and Fred Middleton; great-great nephews, William and Mark Middleton and great-great-nieces, Elizabeth and Sarah Middleton. Mr. Wright was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Jeanette Wright Stephenson Choat and a brother, Fred Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 18, 2014, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Charles Dawkins. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please adopt a shelter dog or cat, or make a donation to your favorite animal shelter. Nothing would make Clarence Wright happier.

Active pallbearers will be Aaron Seibring, Emily Seibring, James Reyes, William Middleton, Mark Seibring, and Scott Middleton.
