Cleo S. Shealy, 93, of Little Mountain, widow of Willard O. Shealy, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Generations of Chapin.
Born on February 28, 1917, in Chapin, she was a daughter of the late Charlie M. and Carrie Lindler Shealy. Mrs. Shealy was retired from G.E. of Irmo. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Senior Citizens, the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Holy Trinity Card Group. She was an excellent cook and loved gardening.
Surviving are her son, Charles O. (Kaye) Shealy of Little Mountain; a daughter, Barbara S. (Bill) Lindler of Little Mountain; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a life-long special friend, Brent Lindler of Chapin. Mrs. Shealy was predeceased by a daughter, Judy S. Lindler, sisters, Floy Slice, Rosabell Amick and Lillian Koon and a brother, Ernest Shealy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Fred Suhr and the Rev. John Stoudemayer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is a the residence of Barbara and Bill Lindler, 3863 Highway 76, Little Mountain and will receive friends Friday from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
