Clyde Taylor

Clyde Edward Taylor, 83, of Newberry, died Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on December 4, 1930, in Bristol, VA, he was a son of the late Charles and Hattie Lee Honaker Taylor. He was an Air Force veteran and retired from the Newberry County School Maintenance Department. He was a former member of the Mid Carolina Twirlers.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Eloise McCullough Taylor; a son, Ronald Allen (Cindy) Riley of Saluda; daughters, Joyce Anne (Randy) Kirkland of Leesville, Evelyn Riley (Bo) Wicker and Sharon Riley (Brad) McCollum both of Prosperity; sisters, Phyllis (Bill) Artrip of Bristol, VA, Ruth (George) Breckenridge of WV and Patti Taylor of Honaker, VA; brothers, Bill (Jeri) Taylor of FL, Douglas Taylor, Glenn (Louise) Taylor and Wayne Taylor all of Honaker, VA; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints presided by Bishop Robert Taylor. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
