Colt Dickert

William Colt Dickert, 37, of Newberry, died April 22, 2021 at his residence .

Born on December 4, 1983 in Newberry he was a son of Dale Dickert and the late Delene Chappell Dickert. Colt was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College and was employed by Komatsu. He was an outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his father, Dale Dickert; brothers, Reid (Ashley) Dickert and Codie (Samantha) Dickert; a step-sister, Biatris Sariana; grandparents, Ray and Nancy Dickert and Chuck and Judy Chappell; step-mother, Rachel Dickert; uncles and aunts, Danny and Dawn James, Dean and Donna Dickert, Charlie and Andrea Chappell, and Tessa Chappell; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff O'Dell. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Crosspoint Church, PO Box 1171, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pall bearers will be Codie Dickert, Reid Dickert, Blake Sheppard, Gene Shealy, Kendall Lee, and Jeff O'Dell.
