Connie Kinard

Connie Boozer Kinard, 78, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her residence.

Born on July 2, 1932, in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late James Harvey “Pie” and Eoline Eloise Lake Boozer. She was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, William Luther Kinard; daughters, Lona Shore of Prosperity, and Linda (Bill) Mossmayer of Prosperity; sons, William (Debbie) Kinard of Austinville, VA, and Eddie (Phyllis) Kinard of Hamlet, N.C.; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Dorothy, a grandchild; three great-grandchildren, her brother and a nephew.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, December 24, 2010 in Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. Floyd Sides. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church, Cemetery Fund, 3074 Bachman Chapel Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pall bearers will be Jeremy Harrison, Alan Harrison, Clayton Kinard, Jacob Walters, John Derrick, and Richard Crumpton.
