Daniel Epting

Daniel Chapman Epting, 92, of Prosperity, widower of Minnie Lee Black Epting, died October 28, 2017 at Springfield Place.

Born in Little Mountain on February 14, 1925 he was a son of the late George Irving Epting, Sr. and Essie Chapman Epting. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and retired from Celanese in Rock Hill .He was a member of the York Masonic Lodge Chapter 385 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. Mr. Epting was also a licensed H.A.M. radio operator.

He is survived by a son, Claude Daniel “Danny” Epting (Jan) of Aiken; a daughter, Patricia “Patty” Smith(Michael) of Rock Hill; two grandchildren, Amber Still (John) and Chase Epting; and a great-granddaughter, Wynter Still.

Graveside services with Masonic Rites will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday, October, 30, 2017 in St. Mark's Lutheran Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Marks Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
