David Cook

David Wyman “Dee” Cook, 58, of Prosperity, died July 25, 2015 at his residence.

Born on July 18, 1957, in Newberry he was a son of D. Wyman Cook and the late Doris Wilson Cook. He was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and was a finish carpenter.

He is survived by a son, David Wyman “Dave” Cook III; grandson, Landen Chipman; father and step-mother, D. Wyman and Emily Layton Cook; aunt and uncle, Evylen and Eldred Amick; a number of cousins, and longtime special friends, Sherri Shipley and Patty Bray. He was predeceased by a sister, Frankie Joe Cook; maternal grandparents, Joe N. and Lillie Mae Wilson; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Eunice Buzhardt Cook.

Memorial services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Monday, July 27, 2015 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Floyd Sides. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church, 3074 Bachman Chapel Road, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to the Shriners Hospital.
