David Ray Dendy, 47, of Prosperity, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at his residence.
Born on August 2, 1961 in Clinton, he was a son of Ray Thomas and Emma Allen Dendy. He was an insurance salesman and a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and Lander University.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Clinton are his wife, Kay Suber Dendy; sons, Daniel Dendy and Jason Dendy both of Clinton; a daughter, Blair Dendy of Clinton; sisters, Nancy Hamilton and her husband, Briggs of Easley and Terri Dendy of Clinton. He was predeceased at birth by his twin brother, Daniel Thomas Dendy. He was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Tom and Ruby Allen and paternal grandparents, Albert Dendy and Inez Alford.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009 at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jimmy Bryan and Rev. Paul Wollner. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
