David L. Fischer

David L. Fischer, 78, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Palmetto Health Baptist.

Born on September 19, 1938, in Independence, OH, he was a son of the late Theodore and Lula Edgerton Fischer. He was retired from General Telephone of Ohio and later worked at Komatsu in Newberry. He was an Army veteran and a member of Glory Tabernacle.

Mr. Fischer is survived by his wife, Vicki Sprankle Fischer; sons, Russell Keith of Medina, OH and Andrew David Fischer of Prosperity; a daughter, Karen Marie (Todd) Hansel of Prosperity; grandsons, Tyler Hansel and Noah Hansel; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a siblings, Karen Marie Fischer and Eldon Theodore Fischer.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Glory Tabernacle by the Rev. Joel Mundy. The family will receive friends at the church at 2:30 pm until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Glory Tabernacle, PO Box 778, Newberry, SC 29108.
