David Larry Lominick, 72, of Pomaria, widower of Kaye Cain Lominick, died Saturday, May 21, 2016, at his residence.

Born on September 2, 1943, in Newberry, he was a son of the late John David and Edna Mae Graham Lominick. He was retired from Uniroyal Goodrich and retired as a rural letter carrier with the Newberry Post Office. Mr. Lominick was a member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church where he was a member of the Lutheran Men in Mission, the Faithful Servants Sunday School Class, the Joy Fellowship and the cemetery committee. He was a member of the Pomaria Ruritan, Sons of the Confederate Veterans and Woodmen of the World.

He is survived by sons, Carl W. Lominick of Pomaria and Alan Lominick of Lexington; grandsons, William Devin Lominick and Michael P. Bower; a daughter-in-law, Tammie Lominick (Brad Mills) and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Lominick was predeceased by a son, Robert Lominick and a brother, H. Wayne Lominick.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 28, 2016, at St. Philip's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home of Carl Lominick and will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648, St. Philip's Lutheran Church, the church Family Life Center, Cemetery Fund or the Lutheran Men in Mission, 2461 St. Philip's Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ladies of Newberry County Memorial Hospital Infusion Center, Newberry County Memorial Hospital Volunteers, Dr. Steven Madden, members of the Lutheran Men in Mission including Conference 5 and State, members of the Ruritan of Pomaria and Columbia District staff of Tri-County Hospice, Faithful Servants Sunday School Class and Joy Fellowship
