DeeDee Bouknight Peel, 44, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Grand Strand Medical Center.
Born on October 12, 1973 in Newberry, she was the daughter of Toni Morris Bouknight and the late John Burton Bouknight. She was a Radiology Technician at Lexington Medical Center for over 20 years. DeeDee loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed camping trips to the mountains and to the beach.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Jay Peel; a daughter, Jayden Peel; a son, Cason Peel; a brother, Andy (Jaimie)Bouknight; and her grandmother, Sadie Morris of Prosperity
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Colony Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. Jerry Trantham. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Colony Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 48 Colony Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108 or to Cancer Treatment Center of America, 600 Celebrate Life Parkway, Newnan, GA 30265.
Active pall bearers will be Allen Sligh, Robert Dennis, Steven Hendrix, Cole Bouknight, Jackson Graham, and Jason Barnes.
Honorary pall bearers will be Jamie Bouknight, Brad Bouknight, David Bouknight, Benji Morris, Jesse Lathrop, Jason Lathrop, Steve McKean, Clayton Dennis, Jimmy Smith, and Jamie Smith.
