Diane Howe

Diane Havird Howe, 54, of Newberry, died July 26, 2012 at her residence.

Born on November 9, 1957 in Prosperity, she was a daughter of Dorothy Hawkins Havird and the late Edwin Dudley Havird, Sr. She was a former manager of Quincy's Family Steakhouse in Newberry and retired from the Newberry County School District. She was active in Relay for Life and was a member of Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church.

She is survived by, in addition to her mother of Newberry by her husband, Mike Howe; sons, Michael Jason Howe of Newberry, and Timothy Justin(Helen) Howe of Newberry; a daughter, Jennifer (Kyle) Minick of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Cathy (Billy) Gallman of Newberry; brothers, Edwin Dudley (Wanda) Havird, Jr. of Little Mountain and Benny (Kim) Havird of Newberry; and two grandsons, Brice Aaron and Brayden Ethan Minick.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pmSunday, July 29, 2012, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Floyd Sides. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Tri County, 13795 C.R. Koon Highway, Newberry SC 29108.

Active pall bearers will be Billy Gallman, Benny Havird, Edwin Dudley Havird, Jr., Britton Havird, Joey Gallman, and Chris Howe.
