Dollie Ann Cockrell Dailey, 59, of Newberry died June 10, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland.
Born February 13, 1957, in Saluda, she was a daughter of the late George Waymond “G.W.” Cockrell and Blanche Bobb Cromer. Dollie loved singing and even had the opportunity to sing in Nashville.
She is survived by her devoted companion, Mac Amick; a son, Johnny Nobles (Christy Swain) of Whitmire; a daughter, Cindy Duvall of Columbia; a sister, Wendy Jacobs of Newberry; brothers, Scott Cockrell, Y.E. “Gene” Cockrell, and Waymond Cockrell all of Newberry; grandchildren, Heather Nobles, Caden Nobles, Logan Nobles, Zach Herndon, Julie Ann Herndon, and Seth Duvall. She was predeceased by a sister, Mae Alice Cockrell and a brother, Johnnie Lester Cockrell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Monday, June 13, 2016 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe and Rev. Randall Derrick. Burial will follow in Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
