Donald Lee Huyck

Donald Lee Huyck, Sr., 70, of Prosperity, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at his home after a courageous 30 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. 

He was born on April 23, 1954, to the late David M. Huyck, Sr. and Jane Armiger Huyck. Donald worked many years at Georgia Pacific as a millwright and later at ArtiChill as a welder before becoming disabled. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. 

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Cindy Shealy Huyck; sons, Donald Lee Huyck, Jr. (Nicole) and Christopher John Huyck (Brie); grandchildren, Trey Huyck (Rachel), Garrett Huyck, Ally Huyck, Payton Huyck, Lochlan Huyck, Dylan Huyck and Wyatt Huyck; brothers, David M. Huyck, Jr. (Sun) and Douglas Huyck (Sylvia); sisters, Debra Lebar (Jerry) and Darlene Dobson (Troy) as well as several nieces and nephews and his precious little dog, Maisy. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dawn Rister. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm in the church fellowship hall.
