Donald Leonard Kohler

Donald L. Kohler, 89, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at White Oak Manor, Newberry, SC. 

He was born December 10, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Otto and Bridget Coyne Kohler. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and retired truck driver. 

Don is survived by his wife, Susan Dunlap Kohler, and her children, Colby (Justin) Towle, grandchildren, Rylan, Ava, and Baylor Towle, and Samuel M. Plyler. Additionally, he is survived by his four daughters with his late first wife, Shirley Padgett Kohler. They are Kathy (Gary) Pepera and their children, Stephanie, Nicholas, and Christopher; Karen (Mike) Pissini and their children, Dominick and Ashlyn; Kimberly (Joe) Severyn and Kim's children, Will and Trent Shelley; and Krissy Kohler (Tracy Dalzell). Also, he is survived by eight great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved Shih Tzu, furbaby, Eloise and Andre, the chatty African Gray parrott. Don was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Raymond and Edward, and sister, Nancy. 

There will be no formal services. You are encouraged to make memorials to the charity of one's choice.
