Donald Roton

Donald Harvey Roton, 60, of Newberry, died Monday, September 21, 2009 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on March 6, 1949 in Newberry, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Nancy Cornelia Price Roton. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Gayle Setzler Roton; a son, Scott (Gena) Roton of Newberry; a daughter, Donna Roton Mason of Little Mountain; sisters, Sandra Rae Roton, Loretta (Jess) Oropeza and Kathy (Ralph) Summer all of Newberry; grandchildren, Ashton and Gabriele Mason and a special cousin who was like a brother, Butch Price and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
