Doris Hill Lindler, 75, of Little Mountain, widow of James Stanley Lindler, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Lexington Medical Center.
Born on December 13, 1935, in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Alfred and Rosa Wyse Hill. Mrs. Lindler was a graduate of Chapin High School and retired from McKechnie and also worked for Collins & Aikman. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher, a member of the Cooper Fuller Circle and the Happy Mountaineers. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother who loved gardening and her animals. She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.
She is survived by sons, James A. (Ellen) Lindler, Sr. and Stanley V. (Renee) Lindler both of Little Mountain; a daughter, Betty L. Pitts of Little Mountain; a sister, Elizabeth Amick of Little Mountain; a brother, Bobby E. Hill of Little Mountain; grandchildren, Chris (Crystal) Crouch, Crystal Shealy, Jimmy (Amanda) Lindler and Andrea Lindler; great-grandchildren, Nyla Cannon, Landen Lindler, Addie Crouch and Aryn Crouch. Mrs. Lindler was predeceased by a sister, Henrietta Harmon and a brother, James Gordon Hill.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, January 28, 2011, by the Rev. Fred Suhr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
