Dorothy Rankin

Dorothy Sue Rankin, 69, of Lexington, died November 24, 2009. Born on June 1, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Henry S. and Annie Mae Sligh Rankin.

Surviving are her brother, John H. (Evelyn) Rankin; sisters, Peggy (Vernon) Garrett and Annie R. (David) Livingston; a loving care taker, Carolyn Jankie and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Bobby Edward Rankin and Boyd S. Rankin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2009, at Cannon’s Creek Prosperity A.R.P. Church by the Rev. Gary Pierstorff. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. David Livingston, 922 Lindsay Circle, Newberry and they will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
