Douglas Longshore

Douglas Wayne Longshore, 71, of Newberry, died Thursday, February 18, 2021, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on August 19, 1949, in Newberry, he was the son of the late Ivy and Nell Lee Longshore. He had been a team member a the Newberry Disabilities and Special Needs PRIDE Workshop.

Doug is survived by nieces and nephews, Cayce Gragg, Rebecca Myers, Patrick Hallman, Garrett Hallman and Tracy Terrapin and a number of great-nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister, Brenda Dobson.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Rosemont Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics, 109 Oak Park Drive, Columbia, SC 29063. Please designate Area 5 on your memorial check.
