Earl Asbury Graham, Jr., 66, of Pomaria died on July 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born on November 12, 1946 in Newberry to the late Earl Asbury Graham, Sr. and Lurlene Kinard Graham.

He was employed with Epting and Ballenger Construction Company and Road Builders and Graham until the late 1970's. At that time he started farming full time, as well as operating a stump removal business. He most recently worked as a loss adjuster with the USDA.

Earl was a faithful member of New Hope United Methodist Church where he served as a former Trustee and was a member of the “GO” Group. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World and the Country Club of Newberry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and playing golf.

Mr. Graham is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dianne Livingston Graham; a son, Roger E. Graham; a daughter, Elaine G. Bedenbaugh and her husband, Lee; two grandchildren that he greatly adored, Elise and Justin Bedenbaugh; and a sister, Alice (Robert) Davis. He is also survived by a special nephew and niece, Michael (Haley) Davis and Melissa (Kurt) Long as well as a great niece, Kursten Long and two great nephews, Connor Long and Cullen Davis.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013, at 2:00 pm at New Hope United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Counts and Rev. Kathy Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church Building Expansion Fund c/o Robert Davis, 256 Graham Cemetery Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Pallbearers will be Michael Davis, Kurt Long, Doug Graham, Dan Graham, Timmy Graham, Buddy Livingston, Shane Livingston and Olin Lominick, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy and Ella Margaret Rawls, Phil and Eunice Trefsgar, Danny Wayne and Debbie Graham, John and Judy Amick, Bonnelle Yarborough, Lloyd Brigman, Jerry Davenport and Rudy Tarver.
