Earnestine Koon

Nancy Earnestine Koon, 98, of Little Mountain, widow of John David Koon, died Friday, January 2, 2015, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

She was born on August 17, 1916 to the late Earnest and Viola Amick McCartha. She was the oldest member of Bethel Lutheran Church of White Rock.

Mrs. Koon is survived by a son, Barney R. Koon and his wife, JoAnn; a daughter-in-law, Linda E. Koon; grandchildren, Charlotte (Steve) Ehney and David (Denise) Koon; great-grandchildren, Jon Drayton and Collin Ehney and Madelyn and Meredith Koon. She was predeceased by a son, Gerald D. Koon and a brother, Harold McCartha.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 5, 2015, at Bethel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Roy Butler and the Rev. Dave Tholstrup. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
