Edgar M. Fulmer

Edgar Marion Fulmer, 85, of Prosperity, widower of JoAnn Whitman Fulmer, died Saturday, September 11, 2021, at his residence.

Born on July 16, 1936, in Lexington, he was a son of the late Matthew Stack and Ione Hamm Fulmer. He served in the S.C. National Guard and was retired after 34 years of service from Overnite Transportation Company. Mr. Fulmer was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where he was a former member of the church council. Following his retirement he and JoAnn enjoyed camping in the mountains.

He is survived by sons, Carl Fulmer and Kevin (Tammy) Fulmer both of Prosperity; a daughter, Sherri Gentry of Prosperity; a sister, Elizabeth Manus; a brother, Harold Fulmer; grandchildren, Jenny (Stevie) Fulmer Lindler, Ryan Kevin Fulmer, Matthew Gentry and Kaitlyn Gentry and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm, Monday, September 13, 2021, at Macedonia Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. Terry Hundley. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.
