Mrs. Edith Boland Bedenbaugh, 89, of Prosperity, widow of Allen R. Bedenbaugh died November 3, 2011 at Springfield Place.

Born on October 31, 1922, in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Dewitt Charles and Eula Frick Boland. She retired from Mepco Electric. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was a member of the Grace Sease Sunday School Class. She loved her church and was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Mrs. Bedenbaugh is survived by daughters; Marjorie B. Wicker and her husband, Donald of Prosperity, Marilyn B. Dowd of Belvedere, and Beverly B. Merck and her husband, Johnny of Prosperity; a brother, John D. Boland of Little Mountain; a sister, Mary Ruth B. Long of Little Mountain; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Rosalyn Fulmer and by brothers, Everette Boland and Virgil Boland.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church by the Rev. Eric Fink. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the committal service in the Ministry Center at Grace Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 188, Prosperity, 29127. The family is at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Merck, 529 McNeary Street, Prosperity.

The family would like to thank the staff of Springfield Place and Palmetto Health Hospice for their loving care.

Active pall bearers will be  Gary Bedenabugh, David Boland, Roger Long, Joe Boland, Mike Whitlock and Alton Lake.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Grace Sease Sunday School Class.
