Edith Minick

Edith C. Minick, 84, of Newberry, died May 15, 2011.

Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ouzts Chappell and Thomas E. Chappell.

Mrs. Minick is survived by her husband, Drayton Leroy Minick; daughters Carol J. Minick of Spartanburg and Marsha (Charles) Storey of Ward; granddaughters Amy (Jay) Ruff of Huntsville, AL, and April (Mike) Donley of Simpsonville; three great grandsons, Holden and Bayard Ruff and Hudson Donley; and a sister, Nancy (Robert “Spot”) Coats of Newberry. She was predeceased by a brother John H. Chappell.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends immediately after the memorial. Memorials may be made to Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church, 1307 Drayton St., Newberry, SC 29108, or any Animal Charitable Organization.
