Edna Garnett

Edna Payne Garnett, 91, of Newberry, died Thursday, October 10, 2019 at her residence.

Born on May 31, 1928 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Ethel Shealy McCarty. She was a retired secretary and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Circle.

Mrs. Garnett is survived by her husband, Homer R. Garnett; a son, James Ray (Angie) Payne of Rock Hill; daughters, Jeanne Koon of Columbia, Cindy (Roy) Mills of Newberry and Lynn (Terry) Siddle of Irmo; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a great-greatgranddaughter. She was predeceased by sisters, Katherine Clamp and Betty Dominick.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles Wilbanks. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1167 Trinity Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons.
