Edron Oras Ringer, Jr., 83, of Pomaria, died Friday, January 2, 2009 at his residence.
Born on May 1, 1925 in Pomaria, he was a son of the late Edron Oras Ringer, Sr. and Eunice Elberta Eargle Ringer. Mr. Ringer was a retired merchant and farmer. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where he was a past Sunday School Secretary, former member of the Church Council and former chairman of the Property Committee. He was a member of the Pomaria Masonic Lodge 151, Woodmen of the World and a volunteer fireman for 29 years.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Kyzer Ringer; a son, Robert E. Ringer of Pomaria; a daughter and son-in-law, Dianne R. Horne and Aubrey Horne I of Pomaria; a brother, Ralph H. Ringer and his wife, Betty, of Newberry; a sister, Floriede Lindler and her husband, Dan, of Chapin; grandchildren, Aubrey Horne II and his wife, Barbie and Regina Trujillo; great-grandchildren, Joshua Trujillo, Parker Horne and Brysen Horne.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, January 5, 2009 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by the Rev. Steve Jackson and Rev. Henri Bishop. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
